Shifts Available:
- Morning Shift 6:30a – 2:30p
- Evening Shift: 2:30p – 10:30p, 4p – 9pm
- Overnight Shift: 10:30pm-6:30am
- Full or Part-time
- Every other weekend and holiday
Compensation:
- Starting wage based on your experience!

Looking for a rewarding career serving others? We are seeking a Culinary Manager that has the passion and drive to serve our residents, families and team members.
The Culinary Manager’s responsibility is to deliver a high-quality dining experience for the Birchwood Cottages community. This includes managing dining staff, creative menu planning, ordering, food prepping, cooking, baking and other tasks to ensure the appropriate dietary needs of our residents and community are met.
Leadership Skills:
- Demonstrate a high level of accountability, integrity, commitment and passion as a member of the leadership team
- Provide mentorship and support to staff with respectful and efficient communication
- Be committed to providing high-quality services to the residents and staff of the community
- Scheduling flexibility
Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen staff schedule
- Participate in hiring, training, performance review and discipline of staff
- Creatively plan the menu following dietary guidelines and variety
- Prep, cook and serve meals according to dietary needs of residents and staff
- Assist with special events and functions
- Manage the budget and order food and kitchen supplies accordingly
- Maintains proper food storage, and handing in compliance with current regulations (e.g., food is properly labeled, checking temperatures, rotating stock, checking expiration dates, etc).
- Maintain cleaning and safety standards in the kitchen including infection control and sanitation
- Assure quality food preparation and presentation
- Be knowledgeable in current regulations for a survey ready kitchen
- Other duties as needed
Requirements:
- 1 year experience or more leading a kitchen staff in an assisted living community or commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of current rules and regulations
- Must be a Certified Food Protection Manager
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
