Birchwood Cottages, a trusted name in compassionate memory care, is proud to announce the groundbreaking of a second building on the North Mankato campus. This marks an important milestone in its ongoing commitment to serving individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The new building, located at 1630 Lor Ray Drive, North Mankato, MN, will expand Birchwood Cottages’ North Mankato reach and provide a warm, supportive environment tailored specifically to the needs of seniors needing memory care. Designed with safety, dignity, and quality of life at the forefront, the space will feature thoughtfully designed common areas, private rooms, and outdoor spaces.
“We are honored to take this step forward in continuing our mission to provide exceptional, person-centered memory care,” said David Lewis, Executive Director. “This new building will reflect the same values and standards that families have come to trust from Birchwood Cottages, with the additional capacity to serve more residents in an environment of safety and comfort.”
The new building is expected to open its doors spring of 2026.
