Birchwood Cottages Locations
Birchwood Cottages located in Owatonna on the south end of town, near the fairgrounds. We are a home like living option for those that need either memory care support and/or enhanced care. Our first building opened in December of 2015 and the second building opened in June of 2017. The cottages are decorated in four different fun themes consisting of Garden, Lodge, Coastal and Farm. The beautiful, bright communities have the advantage of being a quaint, small environment, although because the cottages connect, it also gives the additional advantage of being able to have areas of which to expand and walk around. When you moved your loved one in, you become part of our family, meaning with both our residents and staff. Because we are small, we get to know everyone individually which includes residents and also families. Our staff and residents eat together and families are welcome to join anytime too. The food is delicious as we cook from scratch and also have an “anytime menu” so that no matter what your taste, you’re assured you’ll always be able to get something to eat that you like. In our courtyards we have walking paths, grow and tend both flowers and vegetable gardens and are nestled up to a neighborhood. One courtyard also has a playset for when grand children come to visit. There’s a full activities calendar which includes two outside providers (Live 2 Be Healthy and Healing Rhythms). At Birchwood Cottages we are dedicated to providing quality care and love to serve. Everyone here is someone’s HERO!
